Everybody wants a Sugardaddy – brownie, that is. Or at least that’s what Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties® Co-Founders, Tom Finney and Mark Ballard, firmly believed.
Tom’s passion for creating special-occasion goodies led to the development of the original brownie collection and Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties® in his Westerville, Ohio kitchen in 2003.
Unlike any other brownies, the Edgeless Brownies® were round, uniformly moist, and sumptuously chewy.
Mark and Tom developed a business plan to market a full line of Couture Brownies® and blondies. Together, they launched Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties® in time to celebrate Sweetest Day on October 15, 2005.
Ten years after the conception of the original Sugardaddy’s brand, Lisa and Dan Anglim, a Columbus, Ohio, couple, took over the reigns with a new vision for delivering Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties to adoring fans far and wide.
Executive Chef Martin Moran joined Sugardaddy’s in 2014 after serving as Culinary Coordinator for Sur La Table at Easton, Executive Sous and Pastry Chef for The Refectory Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, as well as Executive Chef for Le Bistro du Beaujolais in Westlake, Ohio. Chef Moran enjoys all cuisines and preparing them at home especially for his two children, Tommy and Jack.
